Why I Am Running

My name is Polly Christensen and I am running for Boulder County Commissioner, District 2 (D2). I have the diversity of life, work, and cultural experience to better represent D2. I have an absolute commitment to democratic governance and responding to the people of our county, not special interests.

Boulder County appears to be paradise from the outside, but we have multiple challenges, both now and in the future.

Here are my top four priorities:

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Without a stable, safe, and decent HOME we cannot a stable present or future life. Learn More

Without reliable, affordable transportation choices, we cannot get to our jobs, to church, or to the grocery store. And businesses cannot function. Learn More

SUSTAINABLE OPEN SPACE & REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

Without the beauty and freedom of our open spaces, we are not fully human. Without a healthy agricultural community, we become unhealthy and vulnerable to spiking prices and food deserts. Learn More

Without our hard-fought civil rights to vote and have equal access to opportunities to build our lives as we choose, we are all poorer. America’s diversity is our greatest wealth, and it should be cherished. Learn More
